Dubai, a city celebrated for its opulence and diversity, remains a source of fascination for both residents and visitors, due to its continually changing landscape. As a global metropolis, it showcases a distinctive fusion of tradition and modernity, establishing itself as a premier destination for tourists.

Having welcomed a number of restaurant and bar openings in the previous year, Dubai has begun to elevate its gastronomic offerings even further.

Have a look at some of the new restaurants opening that are guaranteed to delight your taste buds:

African Queen

Opening for the first time outside of Europe, African Queen at J1 Beach is poised to deliver an exceptional fine dining experience in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Under the expert guidance of Chef Thierry Paludetto, the restaurant will highlight traditional Mediterranean cuisine, enhanced with a unique twist.

Almayass by the Sea

Almayass, with existing branches in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, and Riyadh, is set to open at J1 Beach, currently under construction at La Mer. This renowned restaurant, which first emerged in Beirut in 1996, is celebrated for its mezze-style offerings, including manti, kabab karaz, kibeh karaz, sujuk flambé, and warak enab served with yoghurt. Almayass expertly blends traditional recipes, passed down through generations, with a modern twist, making it a highly anticipated addition to Dubai’s dining scene.

Carbone

Established over a decade ago in Manhattan, the restaurant is famed for its classic dishes, including veal parmesan and linguine vongole. Having garnered a stellar reputation in the United States, CARBONE has welcomed numerous celebrities, such as Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, and Drake, since its inception. In Dubai, CARBONE aims to captivate diners with its signature flair, featuring tuxedo-clad waiters and an interior inspired by the 1950s New York City aesthetic.

Bâoli

Bâoli, a distinctive venue specialising in modern Japanese cuisine infused with contemporary Asian flavours, is set to join the new openings at J1 Beach. With existing locations in Miami and Cannes, and soon to open in Dubai, this jungle-themed restaurant is celebrated for its “sanctuary aesthetics,” creating a unique dining experience for its guests.

Dragon Fly

Scheduled to open this autumn, Dragonfly seeks to blend traditional Japanese flavours with Pan-Asian influences. The menu features an array of dishes, including Beijing duck and bikini sandwiches garnished with otoro and caviar. By night, Dragonfly evolves into a vibrant venue, hosting guest DJs and offering an exciting selection of mixed drinks, all while providing stunning views of the Dubai skyline and Burj Khalifa.

Sirene by Gaia

Sirene Beach by Gaia, designed by chefs Izu Ani and Evgeny Kuzin, is poised to launch their renowned Greek-Mediterranean concept along the scenic shores of the new J1 Beach development. The venue promises an indulgent all-day beachside experience, showcasing a specially curated menu that is expected to feature favourite dishes from Gaia, complemented by live entertainment.

Zuma beach house

Zuma Dubai, a leading dining destination, will open Zuma Dubai Beachhouse in 2025 at La Mer, next to the new Gran Melia Dubai hotel and overlooking the Port de La Mer marina. The venue will feature a stylish pool with day beds, a resident DJ, and a lounge and bar with sea views and private beach access. Guests can look forward to innovative mixed drinks and an izakaya menu, likely similar to that of Zuma Dubai.

Adaline

Developed by the team behind GAIA and Shanghai Me, this soon-to-open supper club is inspired by The Great Gatsby, the Jazz Age, and the elegance of old Hollywood. Named after a fictional character and socialite, Adaline represents a woman who has traded a life of normalcy for her destiny as a singer and entertainer. An evening at Adaline promises a delightful dinner complemented by live performances and exceptional cuisine.

As Dubai evolves into a premier culinary destination, these new establishments are set to enhance the city’s vibrant dining scene, drawing in an increasing number of tourists and solidifying Dubai’s status as a leading global destination.
