Burj Khalifa, the “Vertical City”

Think of the Shard or The Empire State Building and multiply by 100! Constructed and developed by Dubai-based Emaar Properties PJSC, Burj Khalifa became the world’s tallest building at over 820 metres with 160 storeys. It is an architectural marvel of modern engineering using tonnes of steel, concrete and glass. However, the view from the top is breathtaking as you can imagine. Get a family photo and grab some readily available souvenirs. You can enter Burj Khalifa through the Dubai Mall (more about this later), so your family can relax with some retail therapy and eateries there. The only downside is that visiting the building requires booking and a fee so make the most of it if you can.
