Dubai is taking another step towards becoming a global centre for healthy longevity and advanced healthcare, with Sheikh Hamdan approving the Dubai Longevity Authority’s strategy.
The strategy aims to contribute more than Dh35 billion to Dubai’s economy over the next decade and achieve annual growth of around 31%. It also focuses on attracting investment, specialised talent and advanced technologies to the emirate’s healthcare sector.
Established in June 2026, the DLA is responsible for developing Dubai’s longevity sector across research and development, clinical trials, manufacturing, healthcare delivery and patient care. The authority will also develop a science-driven regulatory framework for longevity-related therapies and innovations.
The initiative is designed to provide greater regulatory certainty for businesses while creating new opportunities for investment and innovation in healthcare.
The strategy supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and Dubai Social Agenda 33, with a focus on improving quality of life, strengthening Dubai’s global competitiveness and increasing healthy life expectancy.
Bottom line
With the new strategy in place, Dubai is continuing to expand its healthcare and longevity sector while creating opportunities for companies and investors looking to be part of its growing health economy.
