Ras Al Khaimah is emerging as a premier hub for luxury tourism and high-end aviation in the UAE. Known for its beautiful beaches and resorts, the emirate is now adding a new VVIP terminal and private jet hangar at its international airport to attract wealthy travelers.
The project is being developed with Falcon Executive Aviation and is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027. The facility will have a 1,500-square-metre terminal, an 8,000-square-metre hangar, and larger areas for parking aircraft. It will include a royal lounge, four private lounges, a helipad, and special zones for future vertical mobility operations, giving travelers a smooth and exclusive experience.
The terminal is only 15 minutes from major resorts, including the Wynn Al Marjan Island integrated resort, combining convenience with luxury. Sustainability is also part of the plan, aiming for LEED Gold certification. Over 35% of energy will come from solar power, electric ground vehicles will be used, and the facility will be ready for sustainable aviation fuels in the future.
Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Civil Aviation and RAK International Airport, called the project “a significant milestone in Ras Al Khaimah’s rise as a global destination.”
Sultan Rashit Abdulla Rashit Al Shene of Alex Group Investment said the terminal reflects a long-term plan to grow private aviation in the Northern Emirates and complements their work at Dubai’s Al Maktoum VIP Terminal.
