In line with this Dubai has announced another landmark initiative that blends urban development with lasting humanitarian impact. Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Al Maktoum, has launched the Mohammed bin Rashid Endowment District, a first-of-its-kind project that brings together housing, healthcare, and education under one sustainable model.Â
Covering more than 2 million square feet, the district is a Dh4.7 billion initiative designed to support global humanitarian efforts.
A community with purpose
At the centre of the district will stand a modern 250-bed hospital designed to serve more than 90,000 patients annually. The development will also feature dedicated housing for medical staff, a medical college, and two schools accommodating up to 5,000 students.
In addition, 25 endowment buildings will offer more than 2,000 residential units, catering to different lifestyles. The development will also feature retail outlets, green spaces, a mosque, a boulevard, and ample parking, creating a lively community for over 12,000 residents and visitors daily.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi described the project as a model for sustainable philanthropy, one that transforms charitable work into a continuous source of development.
