Real estate has always played a central role in Dubai’s success, and now the city is taking another major step forward with the launch of a fully digital property sale system.
The Dubai Land Department has launched the first phase of its Digital Sale service on the Dubai Now app, making it possible to complete property transactions fully online. Announced at GITEX Global 2025, this step aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033, both aimed at creating a smart and sustainable economy.Â
Through the Digital Sale service, the entire property transaction can be completed remotely with just a few straightforward steps. The seller prepares the contract electronically and signs it using UAE Pass before sending it to the buyer via the Dubai Now app. The buyer then reviews the details, signs digitally, and makes the payment to a secure account.Â
As soon as the payment is received, the ownership certificate is issued instantly in the buyer’s name through the app. This smooth digital workflow eliminates the need for office visits, paperwork, and physical signatures, while maintaining strong security and transparency throughout the process.
To use the service, both the buyer and seller must have a valid Emirates ID and an active UAE Pass for digital signatures. The property must be located in a freehold area, classified as a residential unit, commercial unit, or residential townhouse, be mortgage-free, owned by one individual, and linked to a UAE bank account. These simple requirements help maintain accuracy and trust in the digital process.
The Dubai Now app already serves as the city’s main digital platform, offering over 350 services from 50 government and private entities. The introduction of the Digital Sale feature further reinforces Dubai’s position as a pioneer in digital real estate services.Â
In addition, the Dubai Land Department is presenting the Real Estate Instant Registration Platform, an interactive dashboard that displays real-time property transaction data across different districts, promoting transparency and boosting investor confidence.
