The UAE continues to maintain strong investor confidence, supported by a robust private sector and resilient supply chains. In its third meeting of 2026, the Economic Integration Committee highlighted the nation’s thriving business environment, noting that more than 1.4 million active companies operate across the country.
The session, chaired by H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri was attended by directors general of local economic departments and focused on enhancing coordination between federal and local authorities to strengthen economic diversification and competitiveness.
The committee reviewed the UAE’s investment landscape amid current global conditions, underlining the strength of investor confidence and the resilience of supply chains. Discussions also addressed the progress of the newly established economic legislation team, tasked with modernizing the regulatory framework to support sustainable growth.
The meeting also focused on integrating the National Economic Registry with government entities to ensure accurate data exchange for the country’s active companies. Additionally, preparations for the 2026 Financial Action Task Force mutual evaluation were discussed, with attention to anti-money laundering measures and beneficial ownership transparency.
The committee also plays a key role in implementing flexible operational and regulatory mechanisms, monitoring shipment movements, directing distribution across routes, and coordinating with federal and local authorities. These efforts strengthen national preparedness, support sustainable supply chains, and enhance overall logistics efficiency.
To further boost efficiency, a dedicated national team has been established to oversee freight operations, reinforce alternative transport routes, monitor market conditions, and ensure the stable flow of essential goods. This team’s proactive approach enables a swift response to emerging challenges and maintains the continuity of critical supply operations.
