Abdulla Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Office and the UAE Media Council, underscored the importance of this partnership. He noted that the UAE’s leadership places individuals and communities at the centre of national progress. The media, he said, carries a deep responsibility because it shapes public thinking, influences awareness, and represents the UAE’s image at home and abroad.
According to Al Hamed, content should uplift society, build positive awareness, and reflect the values and identity that the Emirates proudly uphold. He highlighted that every member of society contributes to building a credible, ethical, and future-focused media landscape.
Amen supports this mission by enabling transparent communication between the public and media institutions. It aims to enhance the quality of published content, protect cultural integrity, and strengthen trust between audiences and publishers. Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary-General of the UAE Media Council, explained that Amen aligns with the goals of the Year of Community, declared by President Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan. He described the platform as an interactive space that allows the public to help preserve societal values and guide future generations toward informed, thoughtful media engagement.
