His Highness Sheikh Mohammed announced the decision, highlighting it as a strategic investment in the future. He stated, “It is our responsibility to prepare our children for a future that differs from ours, with challenges and opportunities unlike those we face today, equipping them with the skills and abilities necessary to sustain the nation’s development and progress for years to come.”
The newly approved curriculum is designed to give students a solid foundation in AI, addressing both technical elements such as data, algorithms, and applications, as well as the ethical implications and societal effects of the technology. The objective is to develop not only proficient users of AI but also thoughtful innovators who are aware of both the opportunities and responsibilities that accompany emerging technologies.
Sheikh Mohammed acknowledged the Ministry of Education for its efforts in developing the comprehensive curriculum and highlighted the importance of nurturing both technical skills and ethical understanding in students.Â
He stated, “Artificial Intelligence will transform the way the world functions. Our objective is to offer children a profound understanding of AI from a technical perspective, while also cultivating their awareness of the ethical dimensions of this emerging technology.”
