Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties, shared on X that Dubai Mall is set to expand with a new section featuring 65 exclusive brands and a curated selection of food and beverage outlets. This expansion will enhance the mall’s offerings and reinforce its position as a global retail leader.
Dubai Mall’s expansion is set to continue with Emaar Properties announcing a Dh1.5 billion project in June 2024. This development will introduce 240 luxury stores and additional dining options, with construction already underway. The expansion will also feature new attractions and services designed to enhance the overall visitor experience.
The success of Dubai Mall is evident, having set a new attendance record of 105 million visitors in 2023, reflecting a 19% increase from the previous year. This makes it the most visited shopping center globally and a key destination for fashion, dining, and entertainment. Spanning over 1.2 million square meters, the mall currently features more than 1,200 retail outlets, with the upcoming expansion poised to further expand its impressive footprint.
