The story of UAE is one of constant progress and the drive to excellence. Whether it’s improving government services, encouraging young entrepreneurs, or protecting the country’s cultural heritage, the UAE leads with innovation and clear vision. As 2024 comes to an end, the UAE Cabinet, led by Sheikh Rashid held a meeting to approve a range of initiatives.

A highlight of the meeting was the approval of a Dh7- Million award to acknowledge federal government employees who excel in cutting bureaucratic processes. This initiative aims to recognize individuals and teams who simplify procedures, reduce regulatory burdens, and maximize resources to benefit both business and public.

Sheikh Mohmmad emphasized the importance of these efforts in a statement shared on X saying, “We will honor work teams, individuals and federal entities that submit projects to shorten government procedures, provide financial resources and reduce regulatory burdens on companies and individuals.”

Inspiring the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

The UAE has long been a hub for opportunity, and its leaders are determined to ensure that the youth play an important role in shaping the future. The formation of the Emirates Entrepreneurship Council, supported by a Dh300-Million fund, is a significant step in this direction.

The council, headed by Alia Al Mazrouel, will provide young entrepreneurs with the resources, mentorship and the guidance they need to develop in the competitive markets, making sure that innovation and leadership stands as the cornerstones for UAE’s economy.

Preserving Architectural Heritage

The cabinet also approved a national policy aimed at preserving the UAE’s modern architectural heritage. With an initial list of 130 sites and buildings identified for protection, the initiative will expand to safeguard up to 1000 structures in the coming years.

This policy reflects the UAE’s commitment to maintaining its cultural and historical identity while continuing its rapid development.

Advancing Education and Human Development

The Cabinet introduced a new governance framework for the Education, Human Development, and Community Council, chaired by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, with Sheikha Mariam bint Mohammed bin Zayed as Deputy Chair. The council will focus on key areas such as higher education, private education, and social sector development, with the aim of ensuring the UAE’s education system remains competitive and forward-looking.
