Dubai Mall, 2023’s most visited place on earth, is becoming more iconic in 2024. People are set to come from farther and wider to visit this iconic hotspot as the AED1.5 billion expansion mobilises onsite.

Headed by Emaar Properties, it promises 240 luxury stores (because it wouldn’t be Dubai without luxury), and eateries. As of now, no completion date has been set, but the mall, like Dubai itself, is already trending. And it’s safe to say, nothing about it will be simple, and there will be something for everyone. Emaar’s other projects in Dubai have been nothing short of extraordinary.

Adult or child, local or tourist, there’s no doubt that you will find days if not weeks of entertainment in the sprawling wonder of this icon. Avid shoppers will find everything from H&M to Gucci right here, and then have the option of grabbing a bite at a fast food franchise or a high-end steakhouse. And that’s not all.

Coming this month is the debut of Boo Boo Laand, an indoor playground complete with a state of the art snow park. Already boasting an aquarium, an underwater zoo, a cinema offering 24 screens, a sports centre that also has Ekarts, and a premium children’s playground, the only real concern for visitors is that they might get lost. But the famously hospitable staff won’t let that happen.

Since it first opened its doors in 2008, Dubai Mall has embodied the plentiful nature of the Dubai lifestyle. And thanks to Emaar, in a city that moves at breakneck speed, there’s no chance of anyone outgrowing it. When you visit Dubai, you get a taste of what it really means to think big. Hosting more guests every year, and always giving residents something new to explore and look forward to, it seems there’s no end in sight for Dubai’s evolution or its malls.

Recently, it’s seen an increase in foot traffic and sales, credited largely to the rise in tourists coming in droves to experience Dubai’s signature lifestyle. And no one walks away disappointed.
