With the commencement of transforming Metro Blue Line, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is spearheading the Railpods project, consisting of two distinct versions: the Floc Duo Rail system and a solar-powered iteration. The Floc Duo Rail utilises two tracks, similar to traditional trains, while the solar-powered version draws energy from specially designed bridges, making the pods eco-friendly and efficient.

The CEO of RTA asserts that the cost of implementing Railpods will be a mere 20% of a conventional metro system. Dubai saves costs by using solar energy, aligning with its commitment to clean and green initiatives.

With an estimated capacity to serve between 1,000 and 16,000 passengers daily, the Railpods are set to revolutionise the daily commute. Ideal for cities with populations ranging from 200,000 to 10 million, the Railpods could potentially transform the transportation landscape of major cities worldwide.
